Timberland Selects Hosted VoIP Provider
ATLANTA -- Timberland Investment Resources will deploy the C4 IP hosted Voice over Internet Protocol solution from Cypress Communications to help its employees maintain constant communication between headquarters and four satellite offices in Boston; Dalton, Ga.; Charlotte, N.C.; and Mena, Ark.
"Our business needed a solution that would eliminate our communication run-around time, the phone and email tag that kept us from being as productive as we could be. Since many of our employees travel extensively between our offices and the field, we have had to call as many as three phone numbers before we could locate them, slowing our business down immensely," said Molly Darnell, director of business operations at Timberland. "With C4 IP from Cypress, we will have visibility into who is at their desk or on the phone in real time.
"Also, with the ability to forward calls based on different scenarios we can program different call routing sequences for office hours, after hours, and holidays. The benefit to us is that when traveling, our team members can simply forward their calls to cell phones or voicemail, eliminating the need for our receptionist to spend countless hours tracking them down. This will be a real timesaver," she continued.
C4 IP is an enterprise-class, hosted VoIP solution that integrates with the user's Cypress-provided IP desktop phone and acts as the interface to the multimedia functionality of C4 IP’s presence, chat, point-to-point video calling, file sharing, collaboration, and Web conferencing. The Presence feature allows users to view the availability of coworkers via status icons, such as out of the office or on the phone.
