Telefónica Soluciones Integrates Loquendo Technology in Its Voice Applications Platform

TURIN, Italy - Loquendo and Telefónica Soluciones have signed a partner agreement whereby the Loquendo TTS synthetic speech engine and Loquendo ASR automatic voice recognition technology will be integrated within Telefónica Soluciones' ManagerVox® voice applications creation and deployment platform.

The agreement was motivated by the level of insistence with which Telefónica Soluciones customers requested Loquendo technology.

With Loquendo technology, customers can mix speech content with background music and within a Castilian text for instance, Loquendo TTS pronounces words in other languages without the need to switch languages.

In order to deliver competitive products for the voice portal market, Telefónica Soluciones has incorporated the technology into its ManagerVox platform.

Loquendo offers a range of technological components in 16 languages. Currently available languages include U.S. and U.K. English, Castilian, Catalan, Mexican, Chilean and Argentinean Spanish, Italian, German, French, Dutch, Greek, Mandarin Chinese, Brazilian, Portuguese and Swedish in both male and female voices.
