SpotHero Integrates with Google Assistant
Parking spot reservation services provider SpotHero has launched an integration that enables drivers to book parking with the Google Assistant using voice commands.
With the Google Assistant integration into Android Auto, drivers with Android Auto will soon be able use SpotHero and the Google Assistant to find and pay for parking on the go, completely hands-free, in more than 50 major markets across North America. Drivers can book parking with the assistant on eligible devices, including Android phones and iPhones, simply by saying "Hey Google, book parking."
"We are excited to announce our first integration of 2018 and a groundbreaking one at that. By working with the Google Assistant to bring voice-activated parking to drivers, we see huge opportunities to improve not only the parking experience, but the driving experience overall," said SpotHero's chief product officer, Anthony Broad-Crawford, in a statement. "At SpotHero, we built our parking mobility platform, HeroConnect, to make parking frictionless for drivers on whatever device they choose and to make integrating with our platform as easy as possible for our partners."
SpotHero's integration with the Google Assistant in Android Auto is powered by HeroConnect, SpotHero's end-to-end parking mobility platform. HeroConnect enables automotive, transportation, and technology companies to offer parking reservations and transactional parking functionality in their native platforms.
