Speech Processing Solutions Releases Philips SpeechExec Enterprise 4.5
Speech Processing Solutions, a provider of professional dictation systems, has released SpeechExec Enterprise 4.5, the newest version of Philips' dictation and transcription management software. This upgraded software package is compatible with the Philips Pocket Memo 8000 and the Philips SpeechMike Premium and incorporates several features that enhance usability.
SpeechExec Enterprise 4.5 allows users to go from voice to text, and the software helps link authors, typists, managers, and administrators. It facilitates communication, individual workflow settings, and organizational flexibility with improved software loading speed and several configuration and usability options that have been enhanced. Additional features of the upgraded software include the following:
- Integration with the latest Dragon NaturallySpeaking version 12.5 and Dragon Medical Practice Edition 2 from Nuance Communications;
- Enhanced configuration of SpeechMike buttons for speech recognition;
- Compatibility with Windows 8 and server components that support Windows Server 2012; and
- Updates for the new generation 12 Citrix and several versions of Windows Terminal Server (WTS) extensions.
"SpeechExec Enterprise 4.5 lets users work in the way that is most comfortable for them by providing individual solutions to the diverse requirements of enterprise-wide workflows," said Thomas Brauner, president and CEO of Speech Processing Solutions, in a statement. "Professional dictation devices can only be helpful if technology can be fully integrated into the user's workflow, and SpeechExec Enterprise 4.5, along with the suite of Philips devices, has been developed so the fully automated process can be implemented and utilized in a seamless manner."
The Pocket Memo 8000 device comes equipped with real-time encryption capabilities and PIN code security settings. The new device, which is housed in a lightweight yet durable stainless steel casing, also features three-dimensional microphone technology that offers 360-degree sound pick-up. It also offers a high-resolution color screen.
The SpeechMike Premium leverages a new precision microphone, which is completely redesigned from previous models. It is decoupled from the device and has a unique microphone grill. The integrated motion sensor allows users to control the device with hand movements, muting the microphone when it is placed on a desk and reactivating it when the device is picked up.
Users who have a current maintenance contract for Philips SpeechExec Enterprise are eligible to upgrade to the new version of the software.
