Soleo Communications Appoints New VP of Sales
FAIRPORT, N.Y. - Soleo Communications, Inc. appointed Steven R. Bourgeois to vice president of worldwide sales.
Prior to joining Soleo, Bourgeois was with Intervoice, where as director of North American sales he led their efforts in vertical sales and business development for the wireline and wireless telecommunications market. While at Intervoice, he closed their largest speech-enabled Interactive Voice Response (IVR) sale in their 21-year history.
Bourgeois began his career as an engineer working for NASA at the Morton Thiokol Corporation as part of the Space Shuttle solid rocket redesign team following the Challenger accident. Subsequent to this he worked for the Lockheed Martin Corporation where he founded a Lockheed Martin spinout, Datria Systems; a wireless voice and data products company that developed field force automation solutions for enterprise mobile professionals. He established a track record in the wireless industry as senior director of voice services at ATandT Wireless where he launched the #121 VoiceDial and VoiceInfo speech portal.
Bourgeois holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a MBA from the University of Phoenix.
