Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust to Roll Out Winscribe Text
Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust in England has awarded Winscribe a five-year contract to roll out its Winscribe Text clinical documentation solution trustwide by May 2017.
The new solution will include speech recognition and will be rolled out to up to 1,000 users. As part of the project, Winscribe Text will be integrated with the trust's PAS (IPM) and Windip document and patient record system. Winscribe Text will also interface with Docman for letters distribution and the trust's new PAS/EPR system. Clinicians will dictate from electronic clinic lists using Philips devices. The trust also plans to make available Winscribe's mobility app on smartphone and other mobile devices.
"We are thrilled to have been selected by this innovative, forward-thinking trust," Colin Howman, business development director at Winscribe, said in a statement. "It's a pleasure to see a trust focusing significant efforts on standardising and improving document production processes, and we are delighted to have been endorsed by Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust."
