SVOX Appoints Martin Reber as New CEO
The board of directors of SVOX today announced that Martin Reber was named chief executive officer of SVOX AG on March 1, replacing Volker Jantzen, the company co-founder, who will continue to serve on the board. Reber formerly served as chief operating officer at SVOX.
SVOX has experienced strong growth in the past few years both organic and early this year through the acquisition of the Professional Speech Processing Group of Siemens AG.
Reber has been with SVOX since 2001 and most recently was responsible for Professional Services, Product Management, and Technical Sales. Before joining SVOX, he worked for Philips Semiconductors. He holds a Ph.D. in microelectronics from the University of Kaiserslautern and a postgraduate business degree from the Swiss Institute of Technology.
Beat Curti, chairman of the board of directors at SVOX, said: "We are a fast-growing global leader in embedded speech technology thanks to our young team of highly skilled and motivated professionals. The company is profitable and has zero net debt. With Martin Reber as [chief executive officer] we will continue moving forward on our path of strong and profitable growth. I would like to thank Volker Jantzen for leading this highly successful company over the last nine years and I am pleased that by continuing as a board member he will further contribute to the SVOX success with his experience and entrepreneurial drive."
