Royal Philips Electronics Appoints Allongue
VIENNA and PARIS -
Royal Philips Electronics (AEX: PHI, NYSE:PHG) announced that it has appointed Patrick Allongue as Regional Director France and Benelux for its speech recognition software SpeechMagic. Allongue is responsible for strengthening and developing the usage of SpeechMagic in the medical and legal markets and for supporting the current integration and distribution network.
Allongue has more than 11 years sales and marketing experience in international software companies, among them such reputable names like I2 Technologies Europe and SAP France. In his last role, Allongue was employed as sales nanager by Interwoven France, responsible for accounts like Compagnie de St Gobain, Atofina and Orange.
Patrick holds an Engineer degree from the Faculty of Science in Nice and graduated from the ISG (Higher School of Management) in Paris. "His professional experience in the international software industry, combined with his technical and commercial know-how, made Patrick the ideal candidate to support our business partners in France and the Benelux, especially now that speech recognition is developing on an enterprise-wide level," says Robert Thornton, Sales Director, Philips Speech Recognition Systems.
