RingByName Offers Hands-Free Dialing with Alexa

RingByName, a company offering cloud communications services in 70 countries, has has integrated its phone service with Amazon's Alexa to enable hands-free dialing with voice commands.

"I'm excited that we are the first cloud phone service to offer dialing through Alexa," said Matt Bramson, chief growth officer at RingByName, in a statement. "Within weeks, RingByName users will be able to ask Alexa to do all sorts of additional things hands-free, including play voicemails, record calls, setup conference calls, and more."

RingByName's cloud-based communication and collaboration platform welcomes and routes callers by name, delivers relevant and actionable information on every phone call, and includes a built-in CRM.

The RingByName Alexa Skill can be enabled through Amazon’s Alexa app on Fire, iOS, and Android devices, and on the web. The skill can be enjoyed completely handsfree with a RingByName account and an IP phone set to auto-answer.
