RedPrairie Adds Vocollect VoiceArtisan Support to its 2011.1 Warehouse Management Release
RedPrairie, a productivity solutions provider, announced today that it will support VoiceArtisan development environment technology from Vocollect, a business unit of Intermec, as part of Vocollect’s recently introduced Next Generation Vocollect Voice solution set.
A key enhancement to RedPrairie’s Warehouse Management 2011.1 release, VoiceArtisan enables faster development of voice workflows and reinforces RedPrairie’s efforts in the area of voice workflow development.
Designed to further an established agenda of superior usability across its suite of solutions, this offering allows RedPrairie customers to use a greatly expanded portfolio of distribution workflow solutions from Vocollect to benefit its install base.
“RedPrairie’s embrace of Vocollect VoiceArtisan is a gamechanger for us; allowing us to offer the greatest number of workflows on the most mobile computers of any WMS company,” said Scott Zickert, product manager of distribution products at RedPrairie. “VoiceArtisan provides numerous benefits that extend our functional and technical offerings to customers seeking a voice-centric approach to solving their supply chain business issues.”
RedPrairie’s newest voice solution with VoiceArtisan will support several voice-enabled workflows, including selection (directed, manual, and cluster picking, pick and pass), put-away, replenishment, loading, and cycle-counting.
“We are pleased that RedPrairie has committed to further increase its focus on voice, helping its customers to capitalize on the benefits of a voice-centric warehouse,” said Tom Murray, vice president of product management and marketing at Vocollect. “In many workflows beyond selection, we have customers reporting double-digit improvements in productivity and accuracy, significantly reduced training time, and attractive return on investment.”
