Pronexus VBSALT 1.2 Supports Telephony Interface Managers from Brooktrout and Intel and Expands Language Support on Microsoft Speech Server R2
Pronexus introduced VBSALT 1.2, the latest generation of its application development tool, which supports the recently announced Microsoft Speech Server (MSS) 2004 R2.
VBSALT 1.2 features support for the Brooktrout Telephony Interface Manager (TIM), as well as the latest generation of Intel's NetMerge Call Manager for the MSS platform. In addition, enterprise and call center developers as well as independent software vendors (ISVs) can now use VBSALT, a development environment for the MSS platform, to create speech-enabled IVRs and other applications in Canadian French and US Spanish, the latest languages supported by MSS 2004 R2.
VBSALT delivers components for speech application development by generating the SALT and JScript code required to control MSS. Low level controls are transparent to the application programmer, enabling them to focus on the business logic of their applications.
The combination of VBSALT and the Brooktrout TIM allows developers to build speech applications in a visual call-flow environment that is integrated into Visual Studio .NET. The tool's integrated support for the Brooktrout TIM provides developers with an additional choice for the creation of speech applications. VBSALT also supports the latest Intel NetMerge Call Manager TIM, and the Vail Systems SIP TIM.
