Philips Releases Wireless Dictation App
Speech processing solutions provider Philips has unveiled the Philips SpeechExec for iPhone Recorder for wireless dictation workflow.
The Philips SpeechExec for iPhone Recorder enables professionals to create documents while on the road. Authors can record dictations and send them to an assistant or transcriptionist by attaching the file to an automatically generated email. Following transcription, the documents are sent back to the iPhone by email. Fully integrated with the professional SpeechExec workflow, files are encrypted so that dictation transmission is secure and protected from unauthorized access.
Philips SpeechExec for iPhone Recorder also allows audio files to be downloaded via an HTTP server integrated with the app. Files may be accessed and downloaded by entering the relevant server URL into the Web browser.
The Philips SpeechExec for iPhone Recorder is free and available in English, German, Dutch, French, and Spanish from the Apple App store.
"Authors can record and send dictation files from home, the office, or even from the skies to anywhere in the world—conveniently, securely, and quickly," said Thomas Brauner, CEO, Philips Speech Processing Solutions, in a statement. "Wireless dictation transmission dramatically increases personal productivity as users are now able to get ideas onto paper the moment inspiration strikes or the situation calls for it."
