Philips Announces SpeechMagic Award Winners
VIENNA, Austria - Royal Philips Electronics has announced the winners of the SpeechMagic Awards 2005. The winners are selected from more than 200 SpeechMagic integration partners worldwide, based on their efforts and successes in the professional speech recognition market. This year's winners are AGFA (Belgium) for the broadest geographical spread of installations, New Doors (Spain) for a 25+ percent penetration of the Spanish Radiology market within 18 months and AnNoText/DictaPlus (Germany/France) for the consequent promotion of the "powered by SpeechMagic" brand.
AGFA (Belgium), Winner "Broadest spread of installations in one year"
Within the last year alone, AGFA installed its Radiology Information System Impax powered by SpeechMagic around the world, including the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Spain, Mexico, Chile, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East. AGFA's commitment to promoting SpeechMagic as a productivity tool integrated within their RIS, as well as occasional cooperative work with local Philips Speech Recognition Systems partners, earned them the recognition this award represents.
New Doors (Spain), Winner "Fastest Market Penetration Award"
New Doors was a driving force behind the development of the Spanish Radiology ConText for SpeechMagic. Within 18 months of its release, SpeechMagic had already achieved a market penetration of more than 25 percent, enabling 600 of Spain's radiologists to have their dictations recognized by SpeechMagic. Following this success, New Doors and Philips jointly developed the Spanish MultiMed ConText. Two months after its release, leading Spanish hospitals such as Virgen de las Nieves and San Cecilio hospitals in Granada and the Clinico San Carlos in Madrid had already placed orders for hospital-wide speech recognition systems to be used by more than 1000 doctors. This award reflects Philips Speech Recognition Systems' regard for New Doors' approach in opening up new markets.
AnNoText / DictaPlus (Germany / France), Winner "Marketing Award"
AnNoText / DictaPlus have embraced the "powered by SpeechMagic" logo. SpeechMagic helps DictaPlus build a more satisfied customer base in Germany and France.
