Philips Announces Release of SpeechExec Enterprise 3.1
Royal Philips Electronics has released SpeechExec Enterprise 3.1, the latest version of its digital dictation management solution software that enables companies to efficiently manage their dictation workload on an enterprise-wide basis. The new release features Windows 7 compatibility, as well as support for Philips’ newest dictation recording devices, SpeechMike Air and SpeechMike III.
Additionally, SpeechExec Enterprise 3.1 has been optimized for use within Citrix and Windows Terminal Server environments and includes the enhanced Remote Device Manager. The Remote Device Manager automatically uploads the corresponding configuration, links individual settings to a unique ID, and stores the information in a central database, allowing all Philips dictation devices within a company’s network to be managed centrally.
“The set of new features available with SpeechExec Enterprise 3.1 will ease the lives of everyone who uses dictation in the company,” says Wolfgang Spannlang, product manager at Philips Speech Processing. “By integrating the software with our dictation microphones and making it compatible with other commonly used software systems, IT administrators can save time by easily configuring all Philips dictation devices. In addition, users will have greater control of their workflow management with a wider choice of download folders, which will help them control the location of their files.”
Additional benefits from this software update include:
- A wider choice of dictation hardware, including support for the SpeechMike Air, SpeechMike III and the Digital Pocket Memo 3PLUS.
- Reduced bandwidth requirements for Citrix and Windows Terminal Server networks since the redesigned Generation 4 (G4) driver architecture ensures that the digital dictation workflow functions seamlessly in these environments.
- Improved workflow management maps user behavior even better by giving users a wider choice of download folders when synchronizing a mobile dictation device with SpeechExec Enterprise 3.1.
