Parliant PhoneHerald Broadcast Dialer Uses Acapela Speech

Parliant Corp, a developer of Mac-based computer telephony products for business and consumer use, chose Acapela text-to-speech to give a voice to its new Mac-based PhoneHerald Broadcast Dialer, which turns a Mac into an automated group dialing and IVR system.

PhoneHerald offers automatic dialing, personalized message delivery and response collection for businesses and institutions. PhoneHerald applications include, for example, medical appointment reminders, school attendance calling and parental surveys, club meeting and membership reminders, small business service pick-up notifications and maintenance calls, and emergency response alerts.

The individual phone message is delivered with Acapela tones, reading out loud personalized information, including proper names, exceptions or abbreviations.
