Parlance Partners with Hendrick Health on Speech Recognition

Texas-based Hendrick Health partnered with Parlance to create a virtual PBX switchboard management solution that lets callers reach who they need by interacting with an intelligent and intuitive voice recognition system.

Parlance's speech-recognition solutions enable callers to connect to people, departments, or patient rooms. Parlance also can connect employees across all Hendrick Health hospitals and provide custom applications for employee information, such as HR.

"Technology plays a large role at Hendrick and our goal was to improve the patient experiences by implementing a simple voice-driven tool," said Duane Donaway, director of technology at Hendrick Health, in a statement. "By eliminating the cumbersome phone trees, Parlance has reduced the time and effort to contact other employees or departments by simply picking up the phone and speaking."
