One Call Now Acquires Vontoo
One Call Now, a provider of mass messaging notification systems, has acquired Vontoo, a provider of permission-based voice broadcast and interactive video solutions, for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition is One Call Now's third acquisition in less than a year.
"This acquisition expands our customer base in the education and business markets. the technology Vontoo uses to integrate voice, video, and emotion is phenomenal. We see tremendous opportunities," Leib Lurie, founder and CEO of One Call Now, said in a statement.

The addition of Vontoo's feature set to One Call Now's product suite allows us to meet a broader set of customer needs and increase our opportunities for growth," said Walter Meyer, Vontoo's president and chief operating officer, in a statement.
"The merger of Vontoo and One Call Now combines two great organizations," added David Adams, vice chairman of Vontoo's board of directors. "This is a great success story for Vontoo... One Call Now is clearly the market leader, and that position is further solidified with this acquisition."
According to terms of the deal, Vontoo's offices in Indianapolis will be maintained and all employees of the company have joined the One Call Now team. Vontoo, which was founded in 2005 and attracted a lot of venture capital funding early on, will continue to market and support its solutions, which allow users to create, send, and track voice messages from anyWeb browser. Vontoo's more than 1,000 customers include retail chains, professional sports organizations, colleges and universities, and Fortune 500 companies.
One Call Now previously acquired the Web-based notification division of U.S. Netcom and Notifytech, a provider of crisis communications systems.
