Nuance Dragon Voicemail Drives New Mitel Platform
Nuance announced that its Dragon Voicemail to Text service is powering the new Speech to Text service for the NuPoint Unified Messaging (UM) platform, Mitel's integrated messaging solution delivering simplified advanced message management to enterprises.
Mitel's NuPoint UM platform keeps voice messages organized with a flexible voicemail service that sends all messages and notifications directly to email on PCs and mobile phones.
"[The] platform has enabled leading enterprises all over the world to stay connected beyond the confines of the desk and traditional voicemail systems," said Tim Kostyniuk, vice president of product line management at Mitel, in a statement. "The Dragon Voicemail to Text platform allows us to quickly deliver accurately transcribed voice messages to email, and ultimately empower the mobile workforce to reply and communicate with clients, prospects, and colleagues faster and from anywhere."
With NuPoint UM Voicemail to Text, each transcribed voice message can include the full audio file as an attachment, as well as the Caller ID in the subject line when available, so users can discreetly read, respond to, and manage voice messages without interrupting their current activity. Message delivery maintains enterprise security levels.

Mitel's Speech to Text feature as part of NuPoint UM 5.0 is now available, supporting U.S. English.
