Nuance Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search Hit Hong Kong and Taiwan
Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch are now available in the Taiwan and Hong Kong Apple App Stores with support for Cantonese and Taiwan Mandarin. Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search hit the Chinese Apple App Store in March with support for Chinese Mandarin, and continue to rapidly expand their Asian language support and country availability, allowing more consumers worldwide to create emails, text messages and status updates, and search the mobile web – all simply by using their voice.
Dragon Dictation for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad gives people the ability to dictate content for email, text messages, and social media updates at speeds five times faster than typing. The latest version is iOS-4 compatible and features a pop-up toolbar with app icons for accessing and speaking content directly into email and text message apps, social media apps, or the clipboard.
Dragon Search for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch lets users speak any search query to quickly and easily find and access information and answers on the mobile Web. Nuance's Dragon Search Carousel delivers fast, smarter search results within seconds across multiple channels all at once, including Google or Yahoo!, iTunes, Twitter, Wikipedia, and YouTube.
Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search now support 14 languages and are available 16 stores worldwide. And as a result of the Dragon apps' multilingual capabilities, Cantonese and Taiwan Mandarin are available to all users worldwide along with Chinese Mandarin, U.S., U.K., and Australian English, European and Canadian French, European and American Spanish, German, Italian, Japanese, and Korean.
"The response to the Dragon Apps across Asia has been amazing, with Dragon Dictation hitting the number one spot among free business apps in both China and Korea as well as nearly every other country we've launched in," said Michael Thompson, senior vice president and general manager of Nuance Mobile. "The addition of Cantonese and Taiwan Mandarin demonstrates our commitment to delivering powerful mobile voice capabilities across Asia, as well as many other regions of the world."
Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search are available for free from the Hong Kong and Taiwan Apple App Stores. The applications are also available in the U.S., Canadian, Mexican, U.K., German, French, Italian, Australian, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Swiss, and Austrian App Stores.
