Nuance Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search Apps Now Available in the Netherlands
Nuance Communications' Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search apps now support the Dutch language and are available in the Netherlands for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch via the App Store.
Now Dutch users can use the apps, which are based on the Dragon NaturallySpeaking platform, to speak text for SMS messages, email, social media updates, mobile Internet searches and more, up to five times faster than typing. Dutch is the 15th language supported by the Dragon Apps, and the Netherlands is the 17th country where they are available.
Dragon Dictation is iOS-4 compatible and features a pop-up toolbar with app icons for access to email, SMS, Facebook or Twitter status bars, or the clipboard. Dragon Dictation also includes an Auto Save function that retains dictated text when the user is interrupted by an incoming phone call. And with multilingual capabilities, all Dragon app users are able to switch between supported languages as they become available.
Dragon Search for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, also now available on the Dutch App Store, allows users to speak any search query to find information and answers on the mobile Web.
"Our rapid expansion of the Dragon Apps in both language support and country availability has been fueled by intense global demand for mobile voice capabilities," said Michael Thompson, senior vice president and general manager of Nuance Mobile. "This latest foray into The Netherlands with support for Dutch further demonstrates our commitment to bringing the power of voice to more mobile users worldwide, and there will be more to come before the end of the year."
Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search support U.S., U.K. and Australian English, German, European and Canadian French, Italian, Americas and European Spanish, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Taiwan Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, and Dutch. The applications are available in the U.S., Canadian, Mexican, U.K., German, French, Italian, Australian, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, Taiwanese, Hong Kong, Korean, Swiss, Austrian, and now also in the Dutch App Stores.
