Nuance Dragon Assistant Added to New Lineup of PCs
Nuance Communications has announced the availability of Intel-inspired Ultrabook notebooks and all-in-one devices from Lenovo, Asus, Acer, and Toshiba featuring Nuance Dragon Assistant.
Dragon Assistant combines voice and personal assistant technologies on personal computing devices to let users speak to search the Web, find content, play music, check and reply to email, update Facebook or Twitter, and more. The new voice-enabled device lineup is available as part of the exclusive Best Buy Premium Collection.
When a user says, "Hello Dragon," the voice assistant can search the Web, access song playlists, or update Facebook and Twitter, totally hands-free. Dragon Assistant will even open applications and programs. It supports dictation so that users can talk instead of type.
Dragon Assistant was designed for personal computing devices powered by Intel Core processors and is based on the same voice recognition technology as Dragon NaturallySpeaking. Dragon Assistant is always available because it works when devices are online and offline.
"We are a generation of multitaskers who want constant access to people and information, no matter where we are or what we're doing," said Sarah Gaeta, vice president and general manager of Dragon Desktop at Nuance Mobile, in a statement. "Dragon Assistant keeps people connected through a more conversational and human interface that is changing the way people use the PC."
