Nexidia and AV3 Unite to ‘Get’ Video Search
Nexidia, a provider of audio search and speech analytics solutions, today announced a partnership with AV3 Software to launch 'get,' a video search plug-in application for Apple Final Cut Pro (FCP) users.
AV3 'get' streamlines the process of identifying and selecting the right content for any project by searching the audio and video files in a media library and combining the results with any existing metadata. The user then selects the desired clips and the media is exported to projects or directly into the FCP timeline, saving hours of manual searching, tagging and logging.
“Users can now stop thinking Media Asset Management and start thinking search,” said Graham Sharp, director of AV3. “This product makes it fast and easy to find and organize media content based on the true recorded information. Thanks to Nexidia’s cutting edge speech technology, FCP users can reduce the time spent doing mundane organizational stuff and they can focus on their creativity.”
AV3 ‘get’ leverages Nexidia’s patented phonetic indexing and search process so that all of the video in your library can be quickly indexed to make it searchable. The phonetic approach is dictionary-independent, producing the most accurate representation possible of the true spoken content. Even searching non-standard words such as people and place names or product mentions is very intuitive and provides accurate results.
“Because ‘get’ automatically indexes your media, you can find what you’re looking for instantly,” said Drew Lanham, senior vice president and general manager for Nexidia’s media division. “The ability to search media will help producers keep up with demand and improve workflow to a whole new level. We’re proud to partner with industry veterans at AV3 to deliver this technology, an industry first for Final Cut Pro users.”
AV3 ‘get’ will be available for download in July.
