New Orleans Law Firm Switches to Verdatum Dictation System
New Orleans-based Lugenbuhl, Wheaton, Peck, Rankin & Hubbard, a 35-attorney firm, has completed its roll out of the Verdatum dictation workflow solution, complete with digital voice recorders and Verdatum Web Portal. Lugenbuhl attorneys now enjoy all of the advantages offered by a system designed exclusively for them and their workflow.
The firm replaced its aging fleet of tape-based dictation with the Verdatum digital dictation workflow system. Not only do attorneys dictate but they leverage the Verdatum system to provide directions and delegate items to legal secretaries and paralegals. Using the system as a voice productivity tool is another way to help attorneys become more productive while increasing the firm’s return on investment. According to the firm’s president, Rodger Wheaton, “the Verdatum system gives us another way to electronically tie our firm together.”
Verdatum has developed legal-specific tools that will allow Lugenbuhl attorneys to increase their billable hours and make their word-processing and secretarial functions easier and more efficient.
“When Verdatum was approached by Lugenbuhl, Wheaton, Peck, Rankin & Hubbard it was immediately clear to us that the firm had researched the digital dictation market deeply,” said John Methfessel, president and CEO of Verdatum. “The management of Lugenbuhl, Wheaton, Peck, Rankin & Hubbard were very knowledgeable and detailed about what they wanted from their new digital dictation system, and Verdatum was able to satisfy all of their needs, and then some. We are extremely happy to have added one of the finest firms on the Gulf Coast to our portfolio of satisfied customers.”
