Nabla Adds Clinical Dictation Solution

Nabla, providers of an ambient artificial intelligence assistant for clinicians, has launched Nabla Dictation, a voice-to-text solution to further streamline clinical workflows for more than 55 specialties.

Our co-development approach with clinicians—something I personally experienced as a clinician before I joined the team—is one of our strengths and differentiators that I'm most proud of," said Dr. Andrew Lundquist, clinical director of Nabla, in a statement. "The advanced dictation capabilities that we're developing are battle-tested with customers and will ensure that Nabla delivers actionable value once we make Dictation available to everyone."

Nabla Dictation streamlines note-taking, electronic health record updates, referrals, and patient messages, and more workflows with built-in commands and automatic punctuation. Nabla dictation can also be used with any computer microphone and is compatible with any existing dictation equipment. The tool will soon include voice-activated shortcuts and a personal dictionary and custom lexicon configuration for precise recognition in specific contexts.

"As AI researchers and engineers, it's in our DNA to continuously evolve our AI capabilities alongside the clinicians we serve," said Laurent Landowski, chief product officer of Nabla, in a statement. "The new Nabla Dictation utilizes proven speech-to-text technology, which has processed over 2 million minutes of audio in medical environments over the last 12 months. It also leverages hundreds of thousands of feedback gathered over the years to unlock greater speed and accuracy. It's proven, tested, and intuitive, making clinicians' lives easier."
