NHS Picks Suppliers for Its Voice Recognition and Dictation Framework
The United Kingdom's NHS has selected 12 speech technology vendors for a framework agreement through which hospitals in the country will be able to buy voice-recognition technology and digital dictation systems. The deal is worth close to $250 million over the next two years.
The framework contract will run through January 2025.All NHS bodies throughout the United Kingdom can buy through the agreement, which is also open for use by local authorities, social enterprises, and other public-services providers.
The vendors featured in the agreements include the following:
- BigHand;
- Crescendo Systems;
- DICT8;
- Dictate IT;
- EpiQ;
- G2 Speech;
- Lexacom;
- Nuance Communications;
- OKS International;
- Prescribe Digital;
- ScribeTECH; and
- T-Pro.
