MacSpeech Supports Mac OS X v10.4 "Tiger" with iListen Version 1.6.8
MacSpeech released version 1.6.8 of iListen with many enhancements including new features to support Mac OS X v10.4 "Tiger." The new version allows users to access Spotlight and Automator applications by voice. Spotlight is Apple's new way for users to find virtually anything stored on their Mac. iListen 1.6.8 users will be able to say "Open Spotlight" followed by the word or phrase they would like to search for to enable hands-free searching. For Automator, a new workflow application lets users automate repetitive tasks, all users will have to do is drag an Automator application they have created to a new command editor window in iListen and give it a name. From that point forward, all they will have to do is speak the name in order to run their workflow task.
In addition to the Tiger-specific features, 1.6.8 also introduces several other enhancements, including new Transcription AppleScript commands and a description field in the Command Editor to enter comments about how the command should be used.
The 1.6.8 update is available now and is free to all existing users of iListen 1.5 or later.
