MacSpeech Releases Update to German Version of iListen
MacSpeech released an update to the German version of their iListen program. The new version is available from Application Systems Heidelberg as a stand-alone program, or a LanguagePak add on to an existing iListen installation. The German version is 1.6.6 and has all the improvements introduced in the latest English version, including a new registration procedure, and improved capacity for the number of commands in an individual command set.
According to the German press, the German version of iListen is:
"After only twenty minutes of training, iListen already recognized about 90 percent of the words in our test documents, which included private letters as well as technical documentations." - c't magazin 6/2005
"We were pleasantly surprised by the relatively high recognition rate after the first dictation." - Macwelt 3/2005
"iListen is not only an excellent tool to dictate text, you can also transcribe voice memos from a digital recorder. Dictating texts, commanding your Mac, or just spelling words is as easy as to ask a secretary - but other than many secretaries, iListen doesn't make a fuss about corrections, it learns from them." - MacLife 2/2005
The update is free to existing users who already have the German version of iListen and is available from Application Systems Heidelberg (www.application-systems.de).
