MSC Cruises Launches Voice-Enabled Robot Bartender

Rob is working alongside human staff, mixing cocktails, greeting guests, and even telling jokes. He speaks eight languages—English, Italian, Spanish, French, German, Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese, and Japanese—and talks to guests according to the language they choose when they place their orders. Rob is powered by ReadSpeaker's text-to-speech voices.

Rob is uniquely engineered to move in a natural way, offering a range of facial expressions and a natural voice. His personality evolves with the surrounding settings and atmospheres.

In 2019, MSC introduced Zoe, a similar virtual personal cruise assistant.
