Loquendo Powers Anthropics 'Talking Head' Message Service
TURIN, ITALY and LONDON, ENGLAND - Anthropics and Loquendo, the speech technology company, announced that Loquendo Speech Technology is to power Anthropics Technology's multi-lingual FaceWave text-to-speech mobile messaging service. With the integration of Loquendo TTS text to speech engine and Anthropics' FaceWave, mobile phone users and content developers can create talking heads, from video or a still photo combined with text written in many major languages. Loquendo TTS provides voices for the dynamic data and prompts in many kind of voice applications. Loquendo will also supply Anthropics with Loquendo ASR speaker-independent automatic speech recognition for use in its Anthropics FaceDirector, an animation tool for content creators. Loquendo and Anthropics' adherence to industry standards in developing their respective technologies has facilitated their working together to bring more voices in more languages to Anthropics' FaceServer Text server software, while maintaining FaceWave messaging's low-bandwidth requirement. Mobile phone users wanting to send their own talking head greetings in their preferred language will be able to choose from a range thanks to Anthropics and Loquendo.
