Leverance Signs Beta Customer for Natural Language-Driven Report-Generating Application
BOTHELL, WA - Leverance, a provider of natural language processing (NLP) technology, announced signing John F. Buchan Homes as the first Beta customer for its report generating NLP-enabled application, PowerTrieve. The agreement with one of the leading home building companies in the Pacific Northwest demonstrates Leverance's ability to deliver real business value through its language enabling technology. PowerTrieve is a report-generating application powered by Leverance's Language Enabled Application Platform (LEAP). LEAP supports multiple meanings for words and phrases and allows simultaneous access to multiple information sources. The LEAP engine can be integrated with different applications to deliver NLP capabilities. The first LEAP-powered application, PowerTrieve, allows users to retrieve data from a database and place it into Excel using conversational language and unstructured dialog. "Our company has always been committed to utilizing the best technology to streamline the homebuilding process," said Dennis Thornton, president of John F Buchan Homes. "Leverance's unique language-driven application will allow our employees to experience the advantages of technology in a completely natural environment." "Signing one of the most prominent homebuilding companies as the first Beta customer serves to validate the immediate value that Leverance's NLP applications deliver," said Chuck Cosby, chairman and CEO of Leverance. "By employing a fundamentally different approach to language technology, Leverance is finally delivering on the promise of Natural Language Processing - a real world, bottom-line solution for non-technical people."
