Kirusa and Voice Web Solutions Partner for End-to-End Multimodal Applications Creation and Deployment
NEW ORLEANS, LA - Kirusa and Voice Web Solutions announced integration of Voice Web Solutions' multimodal authoring tool for Macromedia Dreamweaver MXT with Kirusa's multimodal platform, creating a solution to author, test, and deploy mobile multimodal applications. Kirusa's multimodal platform, offering SMS, sequential, and simultaneous multimodality, supports VoiceXML based multimodal solutions and the Speech Application Language Tags (SALT) specification for speech and multimodal application development. Voice Web StudioT, developed by Voice Web Solutions, empowers application developers to create their own highly accessible and usable SALT voice solutions and multimodal applications by using Dreamweaver MX development software. As a plug in to Dreamweaver's visual development environment, Voice Web Studio allows developers to rapidly build applications based on SALT that leverage any familiar Web scripting language. With Voice Web Studio, any Web page can listen for user input, play speech and audio prompts, and support sophisticated multimodal interaction such as playing a speech prompt when a page element is clicked, or visually confirming recognition of a spoken utterance. The Kirusa-Voice Web Solutions joint offering provides mobile application developers with a new way to swiftly develop applications that seamlessly integrate visual and voice interfaces. Mobile multimodal applications can be authored using Voice Web Studio in the Dreamweaver MX visual development environment, and tested and deployed across a range of devices using Kirusa's multimodal platform.
