Ivona Adds a New Russian TTS Voice
Ivona Software last week added a Russian female voice, Tatyana, to its portfolio of text-to-speech voices, which now includes 45 voices in 18 languages.
All new voices are developed using BrightVoice technology. BrightVoice is the result of 10 years of research and development to produce synthesized speech that is virtually indistinguishable from professional voice-over recordings.
Ivona TTS comes in several configurations and footprints for a variety of mobile devices, desktop, network, and server applications or speech clouds. They are used to enhance e-reading experiences on smartphones and tablets. More than 2 million mobile users downloaded Ivona voices and Ivona TTS HQ for Android from Google Play to replace the standard voice user interfaces on their mobile devices and apps.
"Our mission is to deliver the best possible speech user experience for a wide range of devices and applications requiring high-quality voice user interfaces," said Ivona CEO Lukasz Osowski in a statement. "We are laser-focused on maintaining and increasing the current rapid pace of voice development for text-to-speech solutions in various languages, while ensuring that our speech engines are optimized to meet the requirements of device manufacturers."
