Isreal Discount Bank Announces New Service to Customers
BILLERICA
, Mass. and TEL AVIV,
Israel
- Phonetic Systems announced the launch of a voice-driven stock quote portal application for Israel Discount Bank, one of
Israel
's largest banks. Israel Discount Bank launched the speech based services and with the current liveliness in stock market activity, the bank expects its new service to make a positive impact on its communication with the bank's customers.
A customer calling Israel Discount Bank simply says the name of the share and the system provides them with the up-to-date trading data.
This service obviates the need for keying in the number of the share on the telephone keypad, which requires keying in a long string of numbers.
The new service will provide maximum convenience in obtaining information with ease, anywhere and at any time, since the customer will not have to remember the share's number.
Subscribers phone Israel Discount Bank at *6111 or 03-9439111, select
Telebank Online, identify themselves by keying in their account data, select Stock Market Information, say the name of the desired share and receive the information.
The service is intended for all the bank's subscribers and particularly for customers who are active in the capital market and often require up to date information about the trading data on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
Irit Berger, manager of direct banking division at Israel Discount Bank states, "The speech recognition capability in the Israel Discount Bank interactive voice response system is an essential component in improving communication with our customers.
From now on, stock market data will be easily accessibly and customers will enjoy rapid and convenient access to trading data in real time.
We have chosen Phonetic Systems' platform not only because it meets our present needs, but furthermore, it enables flexibility and expansion to additional speech recognition based services that will serve the bank's customers in the future."
It is expected that Israel Discount Bank intends to introduce additional speech recognition applications in its Direct Banking Portal, as well as a link to additional services offered by the bank, which will enable user-friendly, convenient and fast access to transactions without the need to key in numbers.
