Intra Call Center Deploys Nortel Networks Convergence Solutions for its IP Contact Centre

PARIS, France - Intra Call Center, a French company specializing in the outsourcing of contact centers, has deployed Nortel Networks [NYSE/TSX:

NT] solutions for its new contact centre in Lyon. Intra Call Center already operates a site in Amiens with about 500 active agents, equipped with Nortel Networks Meridian 1 telephony solutions.

 

"Today, IP (Internet Protocol) telephony delivers the same quality of service as standard telephony solutions at half the cost," said Laurent Balonchard, Networks and Telecoms Manager, Intra Call Center. "Our IP Contact Centers also give us great flexibility in terms of voice/data convergence, remote administration and the possibility to upgrade, which is of particular interest to us because of our company's current infrastructure spanning two sites and our future development projects."

 

Nortel Networks has supplied the Lyon site with a Succession 1000 call server and a Symposium Call Center Server. The Lyon contact centre is also equipped with Nortel Networks IP phones i2002.

 

The main Intra Call Center site in Amiens was created in 1996. It is linked to the new Lyon site by a dedicated two megabits line. Opting for an IP Contact Centre in Lyon has facilitated the interconnection of the two sites and now enables data sharing, call transfers and remote monitoring to be carried out very easily and at lower cost.

 

The Symposium Call Center Server version 4.2 installed in Lyon can also be remotely configured and administered, as all the specialized technical skills required for managing these tools, as well as the Page 2 production and quality follow-up can remain in Amiens, which again facilitates the optimization of the company's operating costs.

 

Employing about 550 workers spread over two sites (Amiens and Lyon), Intra Call Center manages customer relations assignments, phone canvassing as well as information campaigns for companies and organizations such as Bouygues Telecom, Coca-Cola, M6 Boutique, Mattel, Noos, NC Numéricable, and DHL.
