Interactions Receives PCI Validation
Interactions, a provider of innovative customer care technology for automated voice platforms and other interactive systems, has been validated compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). Trustwave, the leading provider of information security and compliance solutions, performed the validation.
PCI DSS is a requirement for all entities that store, process, or transmit cardholder data and has been endorsed by all of the major card brands, including Visa, MasterCard, Discover Network, American Express, and JCB.
“Interactions is committed to providing the most secure transactional environment as possible,” said Mike Iacobucci, president and CEO of Interactions. “Receiving compliance validation with the PCI DSS reflects our commitment to our customers, and in turn, their consumers, to constantly do all we can to safeguard financial and other data.”
In addition to gaining PCI DSS compliance validation, Interactions recently introduced a new self-service platform, Interactions’ patented HumanTouch technology, which enables callers to speak as naturally as if they were talking directly with an agent, while providing a comparable level of security and privacy as other self-service systems.
“Consumers have become wary of providing credit card and personal information to random call center agents, and many companies are reluctant to implement self-service for collecting credit card information due to inconvenience and other factors,” continued Iacobucci. “Instead, Interactions provides a convenient alternative to talking directly with a representative, while providing the added security of eliminating a call center representative’s direct access to a customer’s credit card and personal information.”
Interactions’ patented technology captures virtually any data, including email address, login credentials, product and problem descriptions, and can interpret free-form responses. These applications are more resilient to background noise, accents, and other factors that degrade the performance of traditional speech recognition systems and frustrate callers.
"By validating PCI DSS compliance and implementing the proper security controls and engaging in penetration testing, Interactions has taken the proper steps toward adhering to security best practices," said Robert J. McCullen, chairman and CEO of Trustwave.
