Intelligent Conversation Assistant Bellgram Launches out of Beta
Bellgram today officially launched as a company, and its first product is a conversation assistant for business communications that can track conversational data and leverage it for intelligent predictions.
Bellgram helps businesses enhance conversations with customers before, during, and after phone calls using a combination of machine learning and artificial intelligence. Bellgram is available for iOS, Android, Mac and Windows, and offers its users a web admin dashboard for data monitoring and analytics of conversation data.
"Today's launch is a significant milestone for Bellgram," said company co-founder and CEO Will Kanaan in a statement. "We want to revolutionize the way you use your phone at work by empowering your business conversations and text messages with the latest innovations in artificial intelligence, something that hasn't been fully accomplished yet in the business context. Your mobile device is by far what receives most exposure to your work day. We believe that it should be more reliable than the best personal assistant, who literally doesn't miss a word of what you say, hear, or write in a meeting or call."
Bellgram's first version allows users to switch on a voice-activated virtual assistant during a phone call. Users can ask the Bellgram assistant to set up meetings and add them to calendars. It can also take meeting notes, transcribe them and email them to attendees. The tool collects all relevant conversation data, including message history, voicemail, call logs, and recordings, then indexes them and makes them searchable. Bellgram also uses historical data for predictions and suggestions. The technology can predict which contacts a user should be calling next based on their calendar entries and other signals and patterns.
Bellgram can integrate with productivity tools such as Slack, Salesforce.com, Google Suite, Microsoft Office 365, and others.
Since its soft launch in March, dozens of companies have signed up for the solution, from small tech startups to more established businesses like Lyft. Bellgram is in conversation with several large businesses to integrate its solution with their suites of work tools.
The company plans in the near future to add more skills to its voice-activated virtual assistant and start capturing relevant conversation data from video conferences.
