Inphonite Launches InphoniteVoice 2010
Inphonite, a provider of automated messaging systems for medical practices, today introduced InphoniteVoice 2010, its new patient messaging system.
The solution—designed for medical and dental practices—uses interactive voice response (IVR) technology to improve productivity, eliminate missed appointments, and manage provider/patient relationships through automated reminder messages.
InphoniteVoice can send messages via phone, email, text message, and Twitter for a variety of purposes, including appointment reminders, automated surveys, prescription refills, and past-due notifications.
InphoniteVoice integrates with scheduling, practice management, and EMR software applications and is available in four editions to meet the needs of large and small medical practices.
For small practices, the solution is available as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution, while medium and large medical practices can implement the system on-premise using existing telecommunications infrastructure.
“Inphonite was designed to provide a cost effective, feature rich IVR solution able to meet the needs of small, medium, and large healthcare organizations,” said Michael Harris, president of Inphonite, in a statement. “In addition to the browser based SaaS solution, InphoniteVoice can be installed on a single desktop machine or implemented across multiple servers.”
According to Ryan Joe, associate analyst at Ovum, the release of InphoniteVoice comes at a time when outbound messaging is gaining significant traction in the healthcare market.
“It’s a hot vertical,” Joe says. “Part of it is customer service. Part of it is HIPPA [Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act] compliance.”
