IngenioSpec Introduces Voice and Text Technology for Smart Eyewear

IngenioSpec has added voice and text technology to its library of patented technologies for smart electronic eyewear.

Not only can users interact with their voices, they can also receive texts through their eyewear, which can be displayed on the lenses or read audibly using text-to-speech. Users can respond verbally, and the system will dictate and wirelessly send their replies as text messages.

The company says much of the appeal of this smart device is in the hands-free capability, noting that users can focus on what's in front of them while still remaining contactable.

Other technologies on which IngenioSpec is working include health and activity tracking, a personal voice assistant, modular designs featuring detachable temples, electronics in bridge and extended endpieces, in-case charging, an integrated display, and more.
