Being available on the Prosody interface now, InfoTalk-Recognizer 8.2 has more advanced features, including automatic channel adaptation, noise cancellation and multiple model activation, that further enhance speech recognition accuracy. Through automatic channel adaptation, InfoTalk-Recognizer 8.2 will detect the characteristics of the channel in which the call goes through and optimize the speech recognition parameters for this particular channel. Noise cancellation reduces background noise in the calling environment and improves the recognition accuracy for callers in noisy environment. Multiple model activation allows selection of an optimal speech model for a particular user group or caller environment. For example, the gender of a caller can be identified and the corresponding gender model will be used for best speech recognition performance. InfoTalk-Recognizer 8.2 has introduced an Application Programming Interface (API) and architecture for rapid development of voice enrollment applications. Voice enrollment allows end-users to update the recognition vocabularies of the speech application over the phone. This facilitates developers to extend speech application possibilities into more personalized services, such as voice-enabled personal phonebook management. The InfoTalk System Validation Tool has also been included with the InfoTalk-Recognizer 8.2 SDK. With this intelligent tool, system integrators and speech application developers can fine tune hardware settings to optimize the recognition performance. In addition to the core speech recognition capability, Aculab's Prosody has also been integrated with the latest InfoTalk-Vbrowser VoiceXML platform. Based on the industry standard, VoiceXML 2.0, the InfoTalk-Vbrowser platform includes InfoTalk-VStudio, an easy-to-use graphical user interface (GUI) development tool. The GUI tool enables application developers to rapidly build VoiceXML-based IVR applications that benefit from InfoTalk's speech recognition and text-to-speech products.
