IDUSA Invests in Voice Automation
International Distributors USA (IDUSA), a supply network of automotive replacement parts, has invested in Mountain Leverage voice technology. The customized Honeywell solution will be used for picking and replenishment in its distribution operations to optimize workflows, increase order accuracy, and support growth.
IDUSA selected Honeywell's Vocollect Talkman A730 Solution and the ergonomic SRX2 Wireless Headset, along with Vocollect VoiceCatalyst software.
"We are committed to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction," said Anan Bishara, IDUSA's CEO, in a statement. "This is a state-of-the-art system that allows us to achieve our goal of a 24-hour turn-around time of customers' orders with 99 percent-plus accuracy.
In May 2014, IDUSA transferred to a new warehouse in Olive Branch, Miss., and opened an additional warehouse in Carson, Calif. It will kick off the voice implementation at its facility in Olive Branch this August.
"Not only are we confident that voice will provide a significant uptick in productivity, but it is a much more accurate method of picking," said Alex Reneman, president of Mountain Leverage, in a statement. "With the rapid growth [IDUSA] has experienced in 2014 and again in 2015, the timing is perfect for this technology investment for their customers and business."
