HeyAnita Announces Rapid Message Service
HeyAnita announced availability of Rapid Message Service (RMS), a communication solution that enables wireless phone subscribers to send voice messages across carrier networks regardless of their handset technology. RMS, a carrier-grade, scalable messaging product, is offered to wireless carriers as either a fully-hosted or in-network solution. RMS allows cellular phone users to send the same message to one or many recipients. The solution integrates both data and voice transports. "The beauty of RMS is that almost any cellular subscriber can quickly and easily send a voice message to any other subscriber regardless of their handset or network operator," said Adam Guy, senior wireless analyst at The Yankee Group. "Unlike the interoperability and handset technology challenges facing PTT and MMS today, RMS fills the immediate need for communication solutions that do not require users to engage in live telephone conversations or require them to type messages on their phones." "RMS meets the immediate needs of wireless carriers, because it can be used by their entire subscriber base today, not after they trade-up to next-generation handsets in a few years," said Sanjeev Kuwadekar, CEO of HeyAnita. "Carriers worldwide are looking for viral solutions that provide value across a range of user segments and drive revenue when they need it, today. RMS delivers in all these areas."
