Glenayre Provides Versera Messaging Platform to Pakistan Telecom Mobile Limited
ATLANTA, GA - Glenayre (Nasdaq: GEMS) announced it will supply its Versera Solution platform to Pak Telecom Mobile Limited (PTML), a subsidiary of Pakistan Telecommunications Company Limited (PTCL), which owns and operates the public switched telephony network in Pakistan. Under the brand Ufone, Pak Telecom Mobile Limited will offer Glenayre powered messaging solutions to provide voice and fax messaging services for subscribers in Karachi, Lahore and Pakistan's capital city, Islamabad. "Pak Telecom Mobile Limited has already experienced significant success with Glenayre's voice and fax messaging solutions in Karachi and Lahore, and we expect our subscribers to grow an additional 60% this year," said Mr. Arshad Khan, the chief executive of PTML. "We are now launching Versera-based solutions in Islamabad, and will offer advanced messaging capabilities to our three major markets by the end of this year."
