Genesys Integrates Loquendo Technology

TURIN, Italy - Loquendo and Genesys Telecommunications Laboratories, Inc. unveiled the interoperability between Loquendo's multilingual text-to-speech (TTS) technology and the Genesys Voice Platform. Genesys customers, such as Telecom Italia and Sky Italia, are already benefiting from this integration.

Genesys and Loquendo have performed interoperability testing between the Genesys Voice Platform and Loquendo's TTS connected through a client-server architecture, based on the remote access features provided by the Loquendo Speech Suite. Through this integration, Genesys TTS applications acquire the potential of Loquendo TTS technology and its features, including Emotional Expressivity, Mixed Language Support and Audio Mixer.

Utilizing an open architecture and VoiceXML standards, the Genesys Voice Platform supports both speech recognition and touchtone interfaces.

Loquendo TTS text-to-speech software and Loquendo ASR automatic speech recognition software are currently available in 16 languages, including U.S. and U.K. English, Castilian, Catalan, Mexican, Chilean and Argentinean Spanish, Italian, German, French, Dutch, Greek, Mandarin Chinese, Brazilian, Portuguese and Swedish in both male and female voices.
