Fonix Releases VoiceIn Phonetic Edition
SALT LAKE CITY - Fonix Speech, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Fonix Corporation (OTCBB:FNIX) specializing in embedded speech interfaces for mobile devices, handheld electronic products, and systems and processors, released VoiceIn 4.1 Phonetic Edition (PE), a new Fonix technology for videogame developers and animators. Fonix VoiceIn PE is available directly from Fonix under a software license agreement.
Fonix VoiceIn PE speech technology aligns word phonetics with audio data, allowing animators to synchronize an animated character's facial movements with the phonetic components of speech. The technology utilizes input text to break down the phonetic components of words. The result is more realistic facial movement as animated characters "speak."
"VoiceIn Phonetic Edition allows developers to generate more realistic animation," says Tim K. Hong, VP, Fonix Games. "Fonix is dedicated to creating more advanced software solutions based on our award-winning voice recognition technology. This tool adds to Fonix's offerings for videogame developers by providing yet another cutting-edge technology designed to improve the realism of the play experience."
VoiceIn supports multiple languages: US English, UK English, French, Italian, Spanish, German, Korean and Japanese.
