Fonix Joins Symbian Platinum Program

SALT LAKE CITY, UT - Fonix Corporation (OTC BB: FNIX), an international provider of speech interface solutions, has joined the Symbian Platinum Program to support the emerging market for Symbian OS advanced mobile phones. As a Platinum Partner, Fonix is extending its Text-to-Speech (TTS) and automatic speech recognition (ASR) solutions to the Symbian ecosystem. Symbian develops and licenses Symbian OS to handset manufacturers, which account for over 80 percent of worldwide mobile phone sales.
