EZ Scores Voice-enables Sports Updates

SILVER SPRING, Md. - Maryland-based EZ Scores speech-enabled their sports update hotline. Using their voices and a phone, service members can get whatever sports update they're looking for. This past weekend, calls began hitting EZ Scores voice-activated network with requests for the Indianapolis Colts, the New England Patriots, and other NFL teams.

 

The incoming calls are coming from part of 2.5 million sports calling cards that are being distributed through 2006 to all active and reserve military worldwide. Each card is pre-activated with 400 calls.

 

"We of course don`t expect every card that we hand out to be used. However, it was our goal to ensure that all troops around the world had access to our system." said EZ Scores CEO, Chris O`Donnell, "Through the help of The Coalition to Support America`s Heroes and Stars For Stripes, as well as support from corporate sponsors, we can make that happen."

 

The CBS affiliate in Bismarck, North Dakota aired a piece about the project and visited the local National Guard to help in the card distribution efforts. EZ Scores was also featured on ESPN`s Cold Pizza on Wednesday, December 21. The program highlighted the military project.
