Cram.com Adds TTS to Its Flashcard App
Cram.com, part of the StudyMode network of tools and a free online education resource for students to create, study, and share flashcards, today announced the addition of a text-to-speech function that provides audio support for flashcards across 18 languages.
"We're listening to our users and constantly innovating to deliver the features they want," said StudyMode co-founder and CEO Blaine Vess, in a statement. "We're striving to make Cram.com the most versatile, flexible, and useful flashcard platform in the world, and with Cram Premium and our new text-to-speech function, students will have even more tools to create better learning outcomes."
Cram.com's new audio feature, available to all users, lets students hear the words on each flashcard as they work their way through a set. A natural-sounding voice gives precise pronunciations, opening up a new dimension of learning for all users, and giving language learners a valuable tool for mastering pronunciation as well as vocabulary and syntax.
Free and premium users simply click on the audio icon to activate the audio feature. They can also opt to hear the front, back, and hint on each card.
