This service will assist patients with limited English proficienc to communicate more effectively with healthcare providers. MasterWord’s new service will give medical center staff the ability to connect remotely, via voice and/or video, to interpreters from around the United States throughthe CosmoCom-based contact center.
CosmoCom’s Video Contact Center solution uses the same advanced skills-based routing methodology used for all media types to connect telephone and video calls to MasterWord’s interpreters regardless of their location. This provides MasterWord the flexibility needed to work with a broader pool of Interpreters across the United States, giving healthcare staff access to many languages.
“While effective communication is required by private and federal organizations regulating healthcare entities, healthcare staff and their patients do not always have resources readily available to make this happen. We take great satisfaction in knowing we are offering a service easily accessible to everyone that helps meet those requirements, but most importantly, providing another tool that will give providers and patients the ability to be true partners in the patient care process,” states Mila Golovine, founder and president of MasterWord Services.
“Proper communication is an important pre-requisite for proper medical care. We’re happy that innovators like MasterWord Services are finding better ways to improve patient care for those with language differences using our virtual call center technology,” said Dr. Ben Eisner, CosmoCom's president.
