Convergys Expands E-Learning Services with Customer Training For-Profit Solution

Convergys introduced its Customer Training For-Profit Solution (previously branded DigitalThink[r] learning solutions), a set of products and services designed to empower clients with the necessary tools to build and manage a profit-generating e-learning business.   The Customer Training For-Profit Solution is a suite of learning services designed primarily for organizations that provide training services to clients on the intricacies and "how to's" of the organization's products and services.  Additionally, the solution can be used by organizations to train their employees on new and upgraded product offerings, and by retailers as on-site kiosks, to educate customers on the functionality of products prior to purchase.   "E-learning content development and learning technology hosting will drive much growth in the corporate training market over the next few years, and Convergys' Customer Training For-Profit Solution uniquely positions Convergys to address the market needs for expanded learning services," said Michael Brennan, Learning Services Program Manager for IDC, an industry analyst firm.   The Customer Training For-Profit Solution is built on Convergys' L5 Learning Delivery platform. Convergys' L5 Learning Delivery platform enables clients to create their own educational portals, manage products and customers, and analyze the status of their business.   As part of the solution, Convergys offers consulting and courseware development services that span from the time of the solution's inception to the deployment of the e-learning products to the client's customer base.  The suite also includes support for the building of the client's educational portal and assistance for the client's customers when the solution goes live.  Additionally, Convergys can revise the solution and add e-learning courses to adjust to clients' changing business needs.   "We weren't just looking for an e-learning program, we were looking for a partner who could help us think big about how to solve our training challenges.  We needed a vendor that could assist us with every aspect of the solution - from brainstorming to template development to content hosting to project management and tracking.  Convergys' learning was the right choice," said Janet Phillips, Service Director, SonicWall.   The E-Learning suite makes speech technology services available, but they are not included.
