Commetrex Introduces BladeWare(VXML) Open-Source VoiceXML Product Suite

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Commetrex Corporation released BladeWare(VXML) Interpreter, the initial product release in the BladeWare(VXML) product suite, and the latest addition to the BladeWare product family. The product is scheduled for availability on sourceforge.net as a free download in late April 2007. A commercial version, with additional enhancements and support options, will be available from the Commetrex Web site in early summer. The interpreter is an updated version of OpenVXi from Carnegie Mellon University, originally developed by SpeechWorks (ScanSoft), with a number of enhancements made to the code, including a DTMF recognizer and re-defining the ASR/TTS layers to facilitate MRCP implementations.

In conjunction with this announcement, Commetrex added a key member to the Commetrex Board of Advisors, Mike Dickerson, currently senior vice president and general manager, eMarketing Solutions, Premiere Global Services, Inc., and the former CEO of Vocalocity, a provider of VoiceXML components to the OEM marketplace.
